OPEN THREAD

While I’m wrapping up my vacation down here in the Caribbean, I thought it would be good to have an open thread where you can comment on anything pertaining to this web site, or Barbara Johnson and her work as Erie County Clerk of Courts. After just under 3 months time, there has been A TON of information posted on this site (and more to come!). I think that after 3 months time, I have done more work on this site than Johnson has done in her 20+ years as Clerk! (I’m EXHAUSTED – that’s why I had to take this Caribbean vacation). I will respond to comments when I get back.

So, what do you think? Do you agree with the information on this site? Do you disagree with it? Why do you agree or disagree? Do you think Johnson is doing a great job, a good job, and ok job, bad job, or not doing her job at all, and why.

Your thoughts please………………………………….

Next week’s article: “Johnson’s achievements in the COC office over the past 20 years.”

  1. WOW! This site is awesome! ! Since I don't subscribe to the SR or read it on line, I never knew Johnson was this bad. I went to one of the candidate forums last October to hear all the candidates running for different positions and I remember being much more impressed by Schaeffer's responses to the questions than Johnson's (she never really answered questions but just kind of talked around the question). Schaeffer's answers were very direct and poignent - he sounded like he really knew what he was talking about while Johnson looked much like Ed Enderle did. The only difference is that Johnson held that position for 20 years, and Enderel never held the position he was seeking. That is why I voted for Schaeffer. But I had no idea that office is in such a mess because of her; otherwise I might have even helped to campaign for Schaeffer.

Well, I'm telling all of my family & friends about this site. This is a wonderful to educate the voters. Too bad we don't have these kinds of web sites for ALL our elected officials. It's a great way to hold them accountable.

  2. I agree with the information on this site because I have no reason not to. The reason being I can go into that office at anytime and see for myself the mess in there. Also, I can check the COC website at anytime and see for myself that she doesn't have the records on line.

In terms of what kind of a job she's doing, it's obvious she isn't doing her job at all.

She needs to go and she needs to go NOW! !

BTW, the poster above is right; there should be sites like this for every elected official to hold them accountable to US, who are their employers.

  3. Johnson has been wasting tax payer money for the past 20 years. It's got to be in the millions of dollars by now. I knew better than to vote for her. Schaeffer had my vote.

This is a very well done web site. Keep up the good work RBJFO! I hope your readership grows. I've sent the link to all my family and friends as well. Word of mouth is the best form of advertisement!

  4. Where are all the Johnson supporters? This site is so well done that there is nothing they can dispute on here.

  5. I'm a Johnson supporter I think she is doing a great job as COC. She is definitely more qualified than that Schaeffer guy was! And she had alot more experience than he did too. The voters of Erie County knew what they were doin when they re-elected Barbara. She for sure is the right person for that job hands down! Mr. Editor, I'll debate that with you (as you say), "anytime, anywhere."

One more thing, this site is crap because of all the LIES you are putting up about Barbara. Somebody needs to get a life when they get back from the "Carabean."

  6. I don't agree. The COC's office is a MESS! I also believe what somebody said on another blog how things disappear from that office all the time! I don't believe Ms. Johnson has anything to do with that but if she were in the office more I'll bet these crooked shenanigans would not be going on.

  7. We, the citizens and taxpayers, are the elected judges and prosecutor's employers. They work for US. So contact them and let them know your concerns----but don't expect to get anywhere.
